Equity and Access: Enhancing Teacher Quality Through Multi-Institutional Partnerships

The purpose of the Equity and Access Partnership is to design, implement, evaluate, institutionalize, and disseminate a multi-institutional collaborative teacher preparation model to address the continuum of teacher development from recruitment, through undergraduate preparation, early career induction, and continued professional growth. All aspects of this model will address state and national needs of Hispanic American students and English Language Learners.

Partners
Equity and Access partners include: Kansas State University (K-State) College of Arts and Sciences, College of Education, and Center for Intercultural Multilingual Advocacy, three community colleges (Dodge City, Garden City, and Seward County), two existing Professional Development School districts (Geary County and Manhattan/Ogden), three new partner districts (Dodge City, Garden City, and Ulysses) in southwest Kansas, and The Master Teacher, a professional development and educational publishing company.
